Miss Stamp, of Hammond, spent Sunday with Mrs. James McCoy. Mrs. Clara Randle, of Clark’s Hill, is visiting her father, Mr. EH Wood. Mr. James Meads and Miss Myra Clark, of Rensselaer, spent Saturday and Sunday with her aunt, Mrs. John Osborne. Mrs. Ferguson, of Chicago, Mrs Haring and daughter Myrtle, of north of Monon, called on Mrs. Gilmore Friday afternoon, Mrs. Jennie Rishling and daugh. ter Rosa, attended the funeral of Randle Overton at Rensselaer Mon. day. A certain young lady iu this vicinity bad the misfortune of los ng her opal and pearl set ring at the Rensselaer Carnival Wednesday. Misses Lural Anderson and Ola Harbert of Monon, visited with Miss Arty Gilmore Tuesday and Wedne’day. Mr. Harberts are moving to Michigan City this week. The Young People’s Club surprised Mr. and Mrs. Eli Wood Saturday evening, they having re . turned.from their western trip. Some of our good citizens seem to be out of sorts about Sam Jones’ speech at Remington Sunday.
