Make the Carnival a Great Event.

The Committee on Deooration have been working almost night and day to get the people interested in the deoorating of their business houses and residences, and the work is now pretty well under way. Not a little work has already been done and there is muoh more to do. The town should be deoored from one end to the other in honor of this event and if everyone will do their share there is no reason why Rensselaer should not compare very favorably with any of the oities who have held Carnivals this year. There is certainly plenty talent and opportunity for the exeroise of it; and there is plenty of money also if the people will but let go of it. It has been predicted that this event will bring more people into Rensselaer by twioe than have ever been in the town at one time before, and if suoh proves the oase muoh additional preparation for the accommodation of the vast throng must be made. The hotels, boarding houses and restaurants will be over run and. many private families will be called upon to serve meals and open their honses for the accommodation of the publio. When Rensselaer starts to do a thing she usually carries it to a finish, so all must pull together on this oooasion and make the Knights of Pythias Street Carnival a grand suooess and a thing to be remembered for many years. Let every one be prepared to enjoy the festivities to the fullest extent and help others to enjoy. Buoh ooossions as this do notoome every year and we oan well afford to devote a week to this great event.
