Frank Holser of Laura called on his best girl here Sunday. Mrs. L. B Hewitt left Thursday for Rossville 111., to visit her mother and friends for about two weeks. B. J- Gifford is paying $2.00 per cord for chopping wcTod for the dredge and has hard work getting choppers at that price. Men must be getting scarce. John Kimble will put in a stock of groceries in the room vacated by Charles Smith. The new store building at Lewiston is about completed. Mrs. Wm. Collins called on friends here Sunday. T. M. Walters and family visited T. M. Callahan and wife one day last week. F. H. Gifford of Laura visited friends here Sunday. Frank DeMoas and wife visited the formers parents at Gillam Sunday. A. B. Duufee and Ben Clouse went to Kniman on business Saturday night.
