The Oil Well at Water Valley.

It is claimed that oil of a good quality was found in the experimental well at Water Valley, and that if the water can be shut out, it will be found in paying quantities. The casing has been drawn and a section of it found to be burst. Difficulty is being experienced in replacing the casing to as to shut off the water, and when that is done, according to the belief of some of the people there, the water will be pumped out and oil be found. What foundation there is for this belief remains to be seen. In any case other wells will be drilled in the close vicinity.
