Weather Record for July.
I The. local weather record for July shows that it was a decidedly rainy month for Jnlyftbough the total rainfall was less than half of | that of J tine. There was rain here ' in measurable quantity on lS days during the month . and a slight sprinkle on one other day. The total rainfall for the month was 6.47 inches, practically 6| inches. In June we bad very nearly 14 inches. The most rain on any one day was 2J inches. ■ It was the biggest rainfall for one day. of the present- year. As most of this July rain came in summer showers, of limited extent, it is likely that some portions of the county had less rain than Rensselaer and other portions bad more. It was a hot month, and on 16 different days the temperature was 90 or above. There was no 100 degree weather however as in last year. The hottest was 95 degrees, on the 7tb and 17th. There were 15 dear days during the month, 3 cloudy and 13 partly cloudy. The weather bureau’s classification being if a- day is 7 tenths clear, it is recorded as clear, if 7 tenths cloudy it is classed as cloudy; if between these figures it i s recorded as partly cloudy.
