George Beech and £John Akers went to Ayedlott Saturday to work on the gravel road. Work on the new dredge is pro grossing nicely. Mrs. Wm. Collins called on Mrs, T. M. Callahan Saturday. She is on her way to Beoeker, Hl., where her husband has a position on a dredge boat. C. C. McNeal returned one day last week from his visit to Sidney 111. V auce Collins of Rensselaer was here a few days last week setting up machines for Gifford & Callahan. Miss Ida Castor was quite badly shocked by lightning last Wednesday, she is feeling much better at this writing. Mrs. Gifford of Cabery, 111., is visiting her son H. E. Gifford here this week. Fred Germain went to Kankakee, 111., on business Wednesday. Mrs Joseph Sheaddoch is very sick at present. Dr. Slider of Chalmers is attending her. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
