The City Council.

/ Harvey'J. Kannal filed a remonstrance against the construction of a side walk on Kannal avenue. Referred. - A committee from the Ladies’ Literary Club requested that the Council take immediate actiondn reference to the purchase of the old Milroy homestead for a public park. Referred to committee on public property. It is stated that the property can be bought for $2,000. The auditing committee reported they had examined the books of the city treasurer, and found them correct. The ordinance prohibiting bicycle riding on the* cement walks was passed to the third reading. It can not become a law until after being passed again, at another Council meeting. The street committee was directed to require the contractors repair certain defects in the brick pavement around the public square
