A Young People’s Party.
Lucile Marshall entertained about fifty of her yonng friends at her home on Washington St. from 8 to 12 Thursday evening, in honor of her cousin, Miss Edith Gillet of Joliet. The lawn was gay with lanterns, the house bright with decorations, and the three storied tree house, especially adapted to the needs of the boys and girls, as described in the first couplet of the invitations which read, Yon may do just what you please, Play or sing, be squeezed or squeeze And to mandolin and lyre You may danoer if yon desire. Part of the mandolin club, under the leadership of the efficient master Prof. Perkins, fnrnished splendid music for the occasion. After elaborate refreshments the young people left abofit twelve declaring themselves well pleased and entertained. * <
