Heavens! Giris, Watch Out!
Charley Vick if Loose Again, And Me One Knows Whom He WHI Marry I Hext J Charley Vick is loose again. The ancient walls of the Ripley county jail, at Versailles, no longer confine the descendant of George the Third, the grandson cf the founder of Vicksburg, and the builder of the electric Street railroads in the city of Brook, Ind. | He has been loose since last Wednesday and since that day, he has had time to marry one more wife and have another half courted. After his arrest at Sunman, Ind., on Monday, July 21st charged with bigamy, a justice of the peace who didn’t know what bigamy was, but learned that it wasn’t catching, put his bail at SBOO. The third wife, who was Ella Heisman, got her father to sign the bail' bond, and Charley was released and at once disappeared. The Chicago detective arrived next day, but of course he didn’t find his man.
Vick married the Heisman girl on the 3rd of July, under the name of Charles Lyam, which is near enough to Lie-em to be appropriate. She is the daughter of Hiram Heisman, a merchant of Sunman and, of course, said to be “wealthy.” But down in that rock-ribbed region S3OO is a fortune, and after he puts up that sum on his dear third of a son-in-law’s forfeited bond, he will be as poor as his neighbors.
