Ordinance No. 64 An Ordinance Relative to Licensing and Regulating Certain Extraordinary Trades and Establishments. SEC. 1. Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Rensselaer, Indiana. That any person or persons who shall exhibit in said city for payment or reward, charged, demanded or received, any theatrical performance or show of any kind or description whatever, or any musical concert of any kind or description whatever, or any person or persons who shall exhibit for sale or who shall sell any patent medicines of any kind or description whatever upon the streets of said city or from a tent or wagon or temporary building in said city, without license therefor, made out, attested, signed and sealed according to the provisions of the next ensuing section, shall, for every such offense, on conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not less than one ($1.00) dollar nor more than fifty ($5(1.09) dollars, with costs of suit. SEC. 2. AU licenses for such exhibitions or shows or the selling.of such patent medicines shall be made out and attested by the City Clerk, signed by the Mayor and sealed with the seal of said City: said Clerk shall issue such license on receiving from the party applying therefor the receipt of the City Treasurer tor the sum charged therefor, as fixed in the Fourth section of this ordinance. SEC. 3. No provision in this ordinance shall S revent the giving of any concert or the conuctingof any exhibition not indecorous or immoral which shall be given under the management, control and supervision of the Knights of Pythias Lodge of Rensselaer, Indiana. SEC. 4. The amount to be paid for such licenses shall be as follows, viz; One hundred ($100.00) dollars per day or night. SEC. 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinance that have been heretofore passed and that in any way conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SEC. 6.
