Water in the Marshes.
It is said that there are more buckle-berries this year than in recent seasons, but the prices are likely to remain stiff for the marshes are filled with water from the recent rains and it is a hard matter to find pickers. Women, who usually go into the marshes, cannot be induced to go this year and the men who do wear rubber boots; or if the rains keep on they will have to go after the hucks in diving suits.
