Iroquois Ditch Meeting.

At the meeting Saturday afternoon to advance the movement for the construction of the Iroquois River Ditch, it appeared that the project is making substantial progress, in the way of obtaining signatures to the petition. As at present contemplated, the general project contemplates only the construction of the main river ditch commencing in the Makeever pasture, some miles northwest of Rensselaer, and following the channel around to and through Rensselaer, a distance of some 19 miles. This wonld involve the cutting of a channel through the rook at Rensselaer. A committee was appointed to work in the interests of the enterprise and to report at another pub* lie meeting in the east court room, at 3p. m. next Saturday, It consists of jthe following persons: O, O. Halstead, Nim Hopkins, J. E. Alter, D. H. Yeoman, Henry Amsler, Granville Moody, 8. P. Thompson.
