A Noon Wedding.
A happy home wedding occured at noon last Tuesday, July Btb, 1902, at the residence of the bride’s mother Mrs. Agnes Kelley, at the corner of Weston and Rutsen streets. The contracting couple was Mr. O. Leon Reid, now of Louisville, Ky., and Miss Helen F. Kelley, and both formerly teachers in the Rensselaer public schools. The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. A. G. Work, pastor x>f the Rensselaer Presbyterian church. About 40 friends and relatives were present, including the following from out' of town. Mrs. Compton, the groom’s mother, of Dayton, 0., Mrs. Lynne Wemple, the bride’s sister, of Rockford, 111., Mr. and Mrs. W. T. McCoy, of Chicago, Dr. and Mrs. Bechtel, of Chicago, and Mrs. Isabel Parker, of Frankfort. After the ceremony, the guests partook of an elaborate wedding dinner. At 3:30 p. m. the bridal couple left on the train for Chicago, but they did not divulge the route of their wedding journey. Their residence will be at Louisville, Ky., where Mr. Reid is teaching in the commercial high school.
