We don’t need any more rain this year. Mrs. A. B. Dunfee spent the fourth with relatives at North Judson. 11. E. Giffo d and wife spent a couple of davs at Kat.k >kee, pl* this week. Nearly~ everybody from here went to Kniman the fourth. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Chess Castor, Saturday, a girl, mother and child doing nicely. Frank Archer will move to Gifford one day this week. Oscar Russell who has been visiting friends at I.anit, Ind,, returned home Friday. John Akers is carring the mail this week. E.’B. Knickabocker and wife spent the fourth at Bradley 111. B. J. Gifford began building another big dredge boat at Newland Monday. He rays if it keeps on raining he will build a dozen or get -enough ditches to carry the water away. Joe Haddock and M Cramer were .at Rensselaer Thursday on business. Miss Ida Castor is visiting friends at Laura, this week, Charles W. Russell of Della, was a visitor here one day last week.
