Boy Drowned at Monon.

Another sad accident occured at Monon, and the victim as in the railroad accident of a week or two ago, was a boy just approaching manhood. It was Harley Vanarsdal, about 18 years old. He was swimming in the Monon creek, on Friday afternoon and jumped off the railroad bridge, just south of the. town. He went down almost immediately, and was not seen again; perhaps having been taken with cramps. His body was not recovered until Saturday morning. He will be remembered by many people here, he being a member of the Monon’s “extra gang” for some weeks past, and was employed in watching the crossing by our depot and in straightening out the system of wires used in operating the eleotric train alarm, which had been displaced while the new rails were being laid.
