The Fourth at Dunn's Bridge.
There was still another big Fourth of J uly celebration in Jasper county. It was at Dunn’s bridge, on the banks of the Kankakee river, If miles north of Dunnville. There are about the finest picnic and celebration grounds in the state there, and a celebration is held there every year. There is a fine high river bank there, beautiful groves and plenty of fine flowing well water. The excercises included speeches by 0. W, Hanley, of Rensselaer, I. D. Dunn, of Dunnville, and numerous sports and amusements, including boating on the river. There was a big attendance,, and from the four counties that corner near the bridge, Jasper, Porter, Starke and LaPorte.
