Where There Is Some Water.

People who think there is lots of water around here need to go up around the north parts of the county to find their mistake, In whole neighborhoods there, there is practically nothing but water. The case of Bruce Moffit, of near Fair Oaks, is mentioned as a common instance. He planted 120 acres of corn, which was up and looking well. Now a Rensselaer man who saw it a day or two ago says not more than one acre of the whole 120 is above water. He had out about the same acreage of oats too which promised a fine crop were all under water. But suoh instances might be duplicated time aad again along the big slough and Carpenter’s creek regions, south of town.
