A Rainy Month.
The records of the local weather bureau for June, just ended'shbws that it was, indeed, a very rainy month. There was rain on 19 days out of the 30, and a measurable quantity on 17 days. The total rainfall for the month was 13.82 inches, or practically .14 inches. This was nearly a fifth of an inch more rain than the combined rainfall of the whole preceding six months, of December', January, February, March, April and May. And some of them, especially Dec., March and May were pretty wet months, too. It was practically three times as much rain as ocoured in any place in Northern Indiana ifi June 1901; and that was a tolerable wet month, as we all remember. There was thunder heard here on 12 days faring the month. Nine days were clear, 5 cloudy and 16 partly cloudy. The highest temperature was 93 degrees, on the 15th. The lowest 46 degrees on the 22nd. The last half of the month averaged fully 10 degrees colder than the first half.
