Another Jasper County boy to receive a merited promotion is Ernest Fisher of Remington, who has recently been tendered the General Superintendqnoy of the Rio Grand £ Gulf Railroad at S2OO per month, and has accepted same with headquarters at Cape Gerardeau, Mo. Friends of Ernest Shepherd will be pleased to learn that he has been offered a position as assistant instructor in the chemical department of Cornell University, at which place he has been attending school the past year—Remington Press.
