Mr and Mrs. Alf Jacks of Rensselaer spent Sunday with Mr. Isaac Parker’s. Misses Mubel Huston of Milroy and Hattie Sayler of Reusselaer called on Miss Mary Gilmore Monday afternoon. • ' Mr. Samuel Parker and family spent Sunday with Mrs. Parker’s father, Mr. Maxwell. Mrs. James MoCoy returned home Tuesday from a two weeks visit with relatives at Hammond. Mr. Thomas Spencer shipped a cir load of cattle to Chicago this week.

Miss Lillie McCoy of the Armour Institute of Chicago has come home for the summer vacation. Five from here took in the sights of the capital last Sunday. Frank Kishling’s his father and mother-in-law spent Sunday at his mothers, Mrs. Jennie Rishling. Several of the young people went t > the Children’s Exercises at Miiroy last Sunday evening. They reported them exceedingly well given, W. C Babcock of Rensselaer was here Wednesday looking after his grain interests.
