The Jury Disagreed.
The case of Nowels vs Rensselaer went to the jury at Delphi about five o’clock Monday afternoon, Tuesday the jury reported themselves as unable to Bgree upon a verdiot and Judge Palmer discharged them. The ‘jury stood 2 iu favor of Nowels, the plaintiff, and 10 in favor of Rensselaer, the defendant. It is also stated that one of the two said he would come over to the defendant’s side if that would produce an agreement, but the other one deolared be would never agree to a verdiot for the city. Thus the oase will have to be tried all over again if the plaintiff aud his lawyers do not now realize the weakness of their case and let it drop.
