The New Lodge at Parr.

The Odd Fellows captured-Parr Monday night and left a garrison of 36 to hold it, most of the latter being new reoruits'but under oummand of veteran officers The new lodge instituted- there i® Parr Lodge No. 789, Independent Order of Oddfellows. There are 36 members, which is a good number for a starter. They have a very nice new hall to meet in and of sufficient size for all practical purposes. Their meeting night will be Saturdays. L. H. Hamilton of Rensselaer, as district deputy grand master, instituted the lodge and the floor team of Iroquois Lodge of Rensselaer did the initiatory work. About 30 or more were present from Rensselaer, 12 from Lowell, and about the same number from Mt. Ayr and Gifford. All the visiting brethren were well pleased with the hospitable treatment they received. The eleotive officers of the new lodge are J. F. Garriott, Noble Grand; Wm. Blankenbaker, Vioe Grand; D. E. Hudson, Secretary; Alva Stephenson, Treasurer
