Newland Mrs. J. G. Burris’ mother of Sheridan Ind. is visiting her for a few days. Mrs. Owen Callahan went to Chicago Sunday to visit her daughters Mrs. Halladay and Mrs. Whited for a few weeks. Pearl Davis of Gifford and Miss Mabel Caster of this place were united in marriage at 4 p. m. Sunday at the home of H. E. Gifford. We wish them a happy journey down the stream of life. Harry Gifford made a business trip to Kankakee last week. Quite a number of people from here went to Francesville Saturday to attend “Plano’’ day. Mrs. Russel visited friends at Gifford Sunday. Frank Parker and wife of Asphaltum attended the wedding her Sunday. Earl Newland had his pocket book stolen Sunday out of the house. It contained eight dollars. Fred Germaine went to Kersey Saturday to do some painting. Miss Nettie Jordan who has been teaching school at Sibley Ill., returned home Saturday.
