Leave Mail Boxes Alone.

Postmaster Meyer received the following notioe from A. W, Maoben, general superintendent of the Free Delivery System, regarding a new measure just adopted by congress for the protection of mail boxes: ..“Whoever shall hereafter willfully or maliciously injure, tear down or destroy any letter box or other receptacle established by order of the postmaster-general or approved or designed by him for the reoeipt or delivery of mail matter on any rural free delivery route, or shall break open the same, or shall willfully or maliciously injure, deface or destroy any mail matter deposited therein, or shall willfully take or steaf such matter from or out of such letter box or other reoeptable, or shall willfully aid or assist in any of the aforementioned offenses, shall for every offense be puniAed by a fine of not more thaq SI,OOO or by imprisonment*for not more than one year.”
