Our Other Colonel Gets a Panama.
Col. MaCoy and Mayor-elect Ellis are no longer the whole show when it comes to wearing very fine Panama hats. Col. Fred Phillips also wears a fine one, and so also does the Colonel’s respected paternal ancestor, Uncle Simon Phillips, and still further, so (Joes the Colonel’s brother-in-law, C. A. Roberts. The why and the whertfore of the male members of the Phillips family all blossoming out on top with such elegance, to be found in the liberality of Guss Phillips the able and popular leading man at the Bijou, Brooklyn’s leading theater. He sent the three hats all in one box lately, and they are pretty nearly thoroughbreds in the Panama hat line; and good judges say they could not be bought for less than $25 apiece.
