Milroy Circle Picnic.

The members of Milroy Cirole, Ladies of the G. A- R. held their annual oelebration, Thursday, July 12th, in honor of the birthday of the Circle’s name-sake, Gen. Robt. H. Milroy. The celebration took the form, of a picnic, or lawn party, at Sayler’s grove, in the north part of town. About 150 persons were present. The letter from Mrs. Milroy, published about three years ago, including a short biography of Gen. Milroy, were read by C. W. Hanley; and short addresses were made by Q. A. Williams and E. P. Honan. A fine pionic supper was a notable feature of the ocoasion. Gen. Milroy was born, June 12, 1816, and Thursday was, therefore, the 86th anniversary of his birth.
