Goodland Wen By One Vote.

The official canvass of the county seat election iu Newton county was made Wednesday at Kentland. According to a press dispatch from there, the official court still leaves G-oodland the choioe for the county seat, but by a margin of only one vote. The total number for Goodland was 1834, as previously -stated; but the total number oast was a little larger, namely 2,820 votes, instead of 2,803, as before given, This gives Goodland the necessary 65 per oent and just one vote to spare. It isstated that Kentland oitiz J ns have agreed not to contest the result in the courts. If this is the case the commissioners will at onoe proceed to ereot a oourt house and jail at Goodland.
