Miss Idell Street has returned to her home near Buffalo, Ind. after a ten weeks’ visit with her aunt Mrs. Cottingham. She also taught a successful 6 weeks subscription school while here. James Blake went to Warsaw. Ind. Tuesday of last week to see his sister who was seriously sick. Mrs. Wbi. Thompson of Lafayette visited Mrs. Cottingham a few days last week. Monon operator Harry Zimmerman is taking a two weeks vacation, and is spending the time with his parents at Rensselaer, and will also try the mineral water, at West Baden Ind. Ward Bane of Swansville, Ind , Li filling his place here. Wm. Kilgore and family have moved here from Yozoo Miss, Mr, Kilgore has been railroading for the -Illinois Central for —the—past three years. He will engage in farming, and has bought 169 acres of land and several horses. Mrs. Wm. Burkus of Lowell was the guest of Grandma Mandevill Saturday. - Airs. Isaac Kight spent last week the guest of her daughter Airs Al. Sheehan, of Lafayette. Mrs. Gus Mundun went to Momence Friday, having been called there by the sickness of her son’s wife Mrs. John Mundun. Mrs. M. Littlefield visited reia tives in Remington and Goodland last week. Miss Lora Bruce and Luther Lamson spent Tuesday with AirsCottingham, Airs. Jim Clifton is visiting her parents this week. The Ladies M. E. aid will give an ice cream and strawberry social, at the school house Saturday evening June 7th, every one cordially invited.
