The uses of the machine in the practice of medicine and surgery are many and various and new discoveries of its utility are constantly being made. That of its great efficacy in the treatment of ’'external cancers and skin diseases of various kinds, is the latest and the greatest. It is also very useful in locating injuries or diseases of of bones, and foreign subjstances, such as bullets, needles etc., in any part of the body. By its use anyone can see the bones of their own hands and arms with perfect distinctness. Besides the X-ray features it is also a very powerful electrical machine, and is provided with all necessary appliances for using eftctricity in the treatment of diseases. At present it is operated under great disadvantage as considerable power is needed to run it; and it now has to be operated by band power. A water motor has been installed but will not work with the pressure here until larger pipe connections are made.
