A Street Carnival Talked Of.
There is now some talk of organizing a street carnival here for some time in August. These street fairs or carnivals are all right if the temptation to let in objectionable features is sternly resisted such as gamblers and other skin games, and other still more immoral features. If the bars are let down for this kind of cattle, there can be nothing worse for a town than street fair. For the truth of which, ask Crown Point. Tberq was a wideopen street fair there last year. But if one is held here it will probably be under the auspices of the Knights of Pythias, which would, of course be a guarantee that it would be run on the right lines.
