“Twas Ever Thus” Since Bozarth Came.
Here comes trouble again. Just as it seemed certain that our own and only E. P. Honan had a dead sure cinch on the Democratic nomination for Congress along comes this always and for everlasting, perpetual and perennial candidate, for all offices and from all parties, Nelson J. Bozarth, of Valparaiso, and says he will take that little old nomination himself this trip, just for a change. The Valparaiso papers announce Nelson’s candidacy, in the same old familiar story of his war record and his success since in obtaining pensions for the old soldiers. It is a nice piece and we don’t see why the Valpo papers do not have it stereotyped and thus save setting it up anew every time Nelson sees a chance to bob up for a nomination. He always has bobbed up and he always will bob up, and why not save expense by having his announcement permanently in type? Still, the story is not very long compared with what it would be if any attempt was made to record the number of times Nelson J. has changed his politics or been a candidate for a nomination. When Valpo papers publish that record they will have to issue an eight page supplement, at least..
