Many Men In the Pen.
Just as it has happened to happen there are several convicts more in the state prisons now from Jasper county than probably at any previous time in the history of the county. There are four at the Michigan City prison and two at the reformatory, at Jeffsonville. The four up north are Huff, the barn burner, Baker, the penman, Chadwick and Edwards. At the reformatory are Fred Glackin, whose circus day stealings of last year will be remembered, and the younger Edwards. Most of these six were merely transient or occasional residents of the'oounty, when they committed the acts that led to their punishment.
