Will Collins who is working at Kersey, came down Sunday to visit ‘ his family. | Jim Anderson visited his best girl 1 at Pleasant Grove Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Haddock were at Francesville Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Page visited ‘ the former's parents John Akers and wife Sunday. Harry Gifford and son Gerald were at Laura Friday looking after farm interets. Laura has been granted a Post Office with Mrs. Wallace as Postmaster. Less Hewitt of South Bend was a visitor here Friday, John Richmond and family went to Kniman Saturday to attend a birthday dinner. Theodore Smith lo,t a valuable h >rse Friday. T. M. Callahan sold and delivered his hogs to S. R. Nichols near Valma Saturday. Berl Richmond is workidg for Miller & Goldsbery at Pleasant Grove this week. J. N. Baker gave a party to the young folks Saturday night, in his new house which he just completed. Wm. Newberry who moved here from Farmer City this spring returned to that place last week. Mrs. R. W. Burris and daughter Dolly took dinner with the Richmond girls Thu rsday. We are going to have a new hotel. and cold storage erected here in the near future. A bat for every head tastily trimmed.
