Attica’s Cyclone Anniversary.

Attica Ledger. May twelfth always brings to the mind of Attica people the terrible disaster which visited this city on that day in the year 1886—sixteen years ago. J. A. Brady and C. J. Haller as usual made window displays of the photographs taken after the city was laid waste by the awful cyclone. The disaster, which at that time seemed an irreparable one, has in fact proved to be one of the best things that ever happened to Attica. The city has improved and progressed more rapidly since the cyclone than it ever did before that time. Attica needed stirring up, and a more vigorous stirring never 'happened than the one we got on May 12,1886.
