Post Charter Taken Away.
As a result of the long pending troubles in the G. A. R. posts here Department Commander Garagus and Department Adjutant Gen. Smock, have taken away the charter of the old G. A. R. post here, Rensselaer Post No. 84. The trouble dates from a division in the Women’s Relief Corps, some years ago, when a large number of the members of the Corps withdrew and a Circle of the Ladies of the G. A. R. was formed An appeal from this action of the State Department will be taken to the National organization.
