Time Fixed and Presiding Bishop Selected.
The Board of Bishops of the M. E. church at the semi-annual meeting in Chattanooga, Tenn., fixed the time and appointed the Bishop to preside over the various Fall Conferences. The Northwest Indiana Conference which meets here is fixed for Wednesday Sept. 10th, and Bishop Vincent is appointed to preside. By the action of the last general conference Bishop Vinoent’s residence was fixed in Zurich, Switzerland for four years. J He was elected Bishop in 1888 and previous to that time hs had been for a number of years secretary of the Sunday School Union of the Methodist church and editor of the Sunday School literature. He is the founder of the Chautauqua movement.
