The Mandolin Club Entertainment.
Owingjtu|the weather Thurs. night the Mandolin Club Entertainment was not so largely patronized as it should have been. But those who were in attendance were well pleased in every respect Every selection given was well chosen and well delivered. The Club was the first on the program and were called on' the second time and enough encoring was done for a third, but they wouldn’t come. A piano solo by Miss Vesey Grow, provod to the audience that the Club were not only good with mandolins but other instruments as well. Her two selections being of the best and well delivered, receiving hearty encores to both. The little Miss Rena Hicks with the guitar, and Roy Hicks and Prof. Perkins with mandolins constituted a trio never to be forgotten by all who heard it.
Miss Maude Healey with her selection, “In the Mawnin,” broke the solemnity of the evening and everyone enjoyed a good hearty laugh, while watching her awaken the family. Vocal solos by Mrs. Wood were fully as good as any other part of the progratp. The end number, a chorus by the Club put everyone in good spirits before the curtain dropped and little Fred Rhoades got there with the rooster too, even if he, (the rooster) wouldn't crow when Freddie wanted him to.
