Pat O’Donnell Indicted.

Patrick H. O’Donnell, the almost phenomenally successful young lawyer of Chicago, formerly of Delphi, and known here almost as well as there, was indicted by a Cook County grand jury, last Saturday, on the charge of bribing a jury. His brother, John O’Donnell, and law partner, Brady, were also indicted. The state’s attorney claims that he has evidence that will surely result in conviction. O’Donnell has been public administrator in Chicago for some time past, which position gave him fine possibilities for legitimate business and his firm, in other respects, has been doing one of the biggest businesses of any Chicago law firm. It is almost incredible they have risked, and now lost, all these splendid prospects, by descending to the offense they ire charged with. We hope Pat will prove himself innocent, but if guilty he should suffer the consequences.
