Oats sowing is a thing of the past here. About 200 acres of onions have been planted here this season, which insures plenty of work this summer and fall, Bert Camp, who has been working for Sehriner Bros, at Kersey this winter has returned to town and will engage in onion farming. Mrs. A, B. Dunfee went to North Judson Saturday for a few days’ visit with friends and relatives. Mrs.il- B. Gifford went to Kankakee, 111 , Saturday for a few days’ with friends. Jessie Fox was here this week taking the enumeration of school children of Barkley Tp. Miss Cassie Akers, of Etensselaer. visited her parents east of over Sunday. B. S. Fendig of egg and poultry fame, was in town one day last week. Renicker Bros., of Rensselaer, were visiting friends in this vicinity Sunday, -- ■ _ Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Haddock went to Chalmers Saturday to visit friends a few days.
