Gillam and the Oil Fields.
Flugle Benford are finishing up a very promising oil well on the Wilcox lease, The lumber is on the lots -in Asphaltum for two new dwellings, Mr. Davis and Marker. Preparation is being made to shoot quite a number of oil well and begin pumping as soon as possible. Mr. McFadep the general manager of the English Oil Co. is to arrive in New York, today the 18th. He has been in London quite awhile making arrangements with the Co. to go to work in earnest to produce oil and find market for it. Mr. ayd Mrs. Edd Far s have taken a beautiful little lady to raise A small stranger arrived at Mr. Markers of Asphaltum last week. He only weighed 2 lbs. Miss Zelma Grimes is on the sick list. The Chistian ladies help society will give a match supper at West Vernon school house next Wednesday evening, April 23. for the benefit of the church.
