Republican State Platform.

It is understood here that Preaicfeirt Roosevelt lias read tbe speech which Senator Beveridge will deliver at tbe Republican state convention next week and has stamped it with hisapprovnl. This indicates that it will be an administration keynote and is likely to advance some vigorous policies. It is customary for a state platform to indorse the acts of the United States aenatura of thatpart. A general indorsement of that kind this year would carry with it an endorsement of tbe vote of the Indiana senators on the ship subsidy bill; and as this bill is founded on the reiterated demands of the national Republican platform and is strictly on the line of all our protective legislation and in favor of what should be two of tbe greatest and noblest of American industries, why should not our senator’s votes be endorsed ?
