Pointers for Dog Owners.
In this, the Shy of the homeless dog, the following bit of information may be of benefit to persons who own dogs: Whpn the assessor comes around all dogs owned are to be reported to him and the taxes paid. If this is not 0 implied with, the person failing to do so shall be fined not less than $5 or more than $25. If the assessor fails to perform his duty he is liable to a fine of not less than $lO or more than 820. Making a false statement to the assessor is punishable by a fine of not more than SIOO. Keeping a dog that is dangerous to live stock is punis uable by a fine of not less than $lO nor more than SSO. Keeping dogs without a receipt to show that the tax thereon is paid is a misdemeanor and the persons so doing may be fined not exceeding $lO.
