Senator Beveridge’s Selection.

The superintendent of schools at Rochester wrote to Senator Beveridge asking him to reoommend five patriotic, five religious andfivehome and farm songs to be sang by the papils in the publio schools and the senator in reply indicated his choice of songs as follows: Religious—“ Nearer My God to Thee,” “Jesns, Lover of My Soul,” “Coronation,” “Jesus, Like a Shepherd, Lead Us,” “Just As I Am, Without One Plea.” Patriotic “America,” “Red, White, and Bine,” “Star Spangled Banner,” “Marching Through Georgia.” “Rally Round the Flag.” Home and Farm—“ Home, Sweet Heme,” “Annie Laurie,” “Lily Dell,” “The Old Oaken Bucket,” “Wait for the Wagon.”
