Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 34, Number 62, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 4 April 1902 — Lincoln Township In Line. [ARTICLE]
Lincoln Township In Line.
Lincoln Township, Newton "county, including the village of Rose Lawn, has been following the wise example of Beaver Tp., and Morocoo, and will send delegates to the judicial convention at Brook, on April 10th. The call of the township chairman for the township convention to elect the the delegates has already been issued. Lake township will follow suit, if it has not already done so, to also will McClellan; and Jackson and Colfax are not likely to be far behind. The Republicans of the northern half of Newton are practically unanimous in their disapproval of the work of the W9rk of the Kentland county seat sohemers, in this judgeship matter, and a very strong element is against it in the southern half; and especially is this true of Iroquois township where Brook is.
