Death of Hugh H. Barcus.
Hugh H. Barous, a former well known, and mnoh esteemed resident of Rensselaer, died at his home at Wolcott last Friday, March 28, 1902, at one o’clock. The cause of his death was Bright’s disease and his sickness w»s of quite a long duration. Mr. Barcus moved to Wolcott a year ago about the Ist of this month, into a good residence he had bought there. Previous to that time he had been a resident of Rensselaer for several years, most of which time in business as a member of ibe firm of Cox & Barous. Previous to coming here he had lived in Kansas quite a long time.' He leaves a wife, who was Miss Lizzie Rodgers, of Wolcott, and to whom he was married in 1877. They have no children. George Barous, of Rensselaer, is a brother, and his father Samuel Barcus, with another brother John, live on the old home place, 10 miles south of Wolcott. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Cooper of Chalmers, and Mrs. Griffin, Taylor, of West Virginia. The funeral was held Sunday, at his residence at Wolcott.
