Morocco Started The Movement and Others Will Follow in Line. \ . A mass meeting of Republicans of Morooco and Beaver towuehip waa held at Morocco, last Saturday afternoon on & published oall of a number of leading Republicans. The objeot of the Meeting was to take action regarding the coming judicial convention at Brook, on April 10th. The meeting was a large one, and the sentiment in favor of being represented at the convention "and against the unjustifiable and high-handed course of Chairman Little in repudiating his oall for the convention, was unanimous.
The township’s-two Republican committeemen were instructed to oall precinct conventions to eleot delegates to the judioial convention A committee was also appointed to confer with Chairman Little and the county oommittee, with a view to inducing the county to withdraw from its false position. Another committee was appointed to -confer--with-' other townships of northern aud central Newton, to induce them also to issue calls for the election of judicial convention delegates. It is now practically certain thut Lincoln, Lake and McClellan townships will follow the lend of Beaver and oall precinct conventions and send delegates, and probable that Jackson and Colfax will also. As The Republican has assert ed all aljng the loyal Republican masses of northern and central Newton county lias been placed in by the scheming of the Kentland county-seat clique, and it is now certain that they will express that opposition in a manner not to be misunderstood.
