The School Ma’ams Entertain.
Last night in the Library Room we could soarcely believe our eyes, when Misses Berry, Cooper, Howarth, May, Roberts and Watson brought all those good things and heaped them up around us so high, that eat rapidly as we oould, it took one hour and fortyfive minutes by the town otock to eat our way to light. It was in the way of a .surprise and a most pleasant one it proved to be. My graoious, just imagine a room full of ham-sandwiches, and other wiohes, olives and t piokles, coffee by the gallon, great strings of salmon, fresh from the Columbia; oakes, Devils’ food and Angel, ioe-cream, regular brioks, and fudges until one w ished that every body in the world could have such gorgeous] feasts. Probably the two biggest eaters of the evening were Mr. Hiatt and Mr. Neher. Since it seemed to be the general opinion that Mr. Hiatt oame out with about two fudges and one sandwich to the good, he had the pleasure of expressing how grateful we all were to the hostesses. With all the wants of the inner man supplied, we went home happy, and full as .the moon that was so brilliantly shining.
