Their Castle Hall Association Organs' ized and Stock Nearly all Taken. The Knights of Pythias keep pushing their big building projeot right along, and it evidently is un der snoh full headway now that no danger of a set-back need be apprehended. Great progress was made in the enterprise Tuesday night. Organization was effeoted by forming what is named the “Rensselaer Castle Hall Association,” which will be duly incorporated under the laws of the state. There are 7 directors. Of these the lodge eleots two, and the stockholders 5, Tuesday night C. D. Nowels and Jesse E‘. Wilson were elected as the directors to represent the lodge. The lodge then adjourned and the stockholders’ meeting was held. J. H. S. Ellis, D. G. Warner M, Tuteur, G. E. Murray and John Eger, were eleoted as the stockholders’ directors. All are members of the order except Mr. Eger, who represents the non-member, stockholders, among whom about one seventh of the stock has been subscribed.
Immediately after the stockholders’ meeting the directors met and oompleted the organization, by electing J. H. S. Ellis president, J. J. Hunt secretary and T. J. McCoy treasurer. The secretary’s bond was fixed at $5,000, and the treasurer’s atslo,ooo. The amount of stock now subscribed is about $13,5C0. The books will be held open for a few days, to enable the full amount of $15,000 to be taken before the articles of association are forwarded to the secretary of the state. The building will be of three stories 60 by 100 feet. The first floor will be store rooms, of coarse. The seoond floor will form an armory for our new military company, and a large assembly hall seated with movable ohairs, It will jprobabiy seat 1,500 persons, and will supply the muoh needed room for conventions and other large meetings. The third floor will be divided into lodge rooms. One of which will, of course, be the Knights own oastle hall. The other ill be rented to some other order, probably the Masons.
