Charley Daugherty Nominated in Lake.

The Republicans of Lake ooanty held their convention last Saturday, and the nominee for ooanty sheriff was Chas. J. Daugherty, a former Rensselaer boy, and son of a former sheriff of this ooanty, L. L. Daugherty, nos of Hammond. Charley has been first depnty sheriff in Lake ooanty for some time past, and in that oapacity has fully demonstrated his fitness for the higher position. Another Jasper connty boy rapidly coming to the front in Lake ooanty is Ernest Shortridge, of Hammond, official stenographer of the Lake-Porter-LaPorte Superior court, and also Repnblioan ooanty obairman of Lake ooanty.
