County Chairman Warner called the convention to order, and Secretary Leopold read tbe call. Charles W. Coen of Marion tp. was oho Sen precinct ohairman; and Fred L. Griffin, of Carpenter, permanent secretary. J. W. Walker and -0.-H. ■•Peck were chosen tellers. The 10 delegates to the state convention re-elected, 3 from each commissioner’s district, and one at large, as follows. First distriot, J. F. Pettit,A W. Prevo, W. H. Robinson. entire vote for C. W. Hanley. The motion was enthusiastically applauded. Mr. Hanley was called, and expressed his thanks. Mr. Wilson was also called and thanked the convention. For County Officers For County Auditor James N. Leatberman, of Marion Tp., was the only name placed before the convention, and he was nominated* by acclamation. For County Treasurer For County Treasurer. S. R. Nichols, of Barkley, Philip Blue, of Marion, James D. Babcock, of Marion and John A. Lamborn, of Carpenter were placed before the convention. Nichols 63, Blue 67, Babcock 28, Lamborn 44, Fouth ballot: Nichols 72, Blue 77, Babcock 16, Lamborn 39. Mr. Babcock announced his withdrawal from the contest. Fifth ballot: Niohols 90; Blue 74, Lamborn 41, Babcock 1. Sixth ballot: Nichols 92, Blue 70, Lamborn 40. Seventh ballot: Nichols 98, Blue 64, Lamborn 40, L. P. Shirer 6. Eight ballot: Niohols 103, B[ue 50, Lamborn 43, Bhirer 8, Scattering 2. Whole number 206, Necessary to ohoice 104. Ninth ballot: Nichols 135, Blue 28, Lamborn 41. Mr. Niohols was deolared the nominee of the convention, for County Treasurer. On motion of Mr Blue, the nomination was made unanimous.

For Sheriff . For sheriff A. G. Hardy, the present incumbent was renominated by acclamation. For Coronor. W. J. Wright, the incumbent was re-nominated unanimously. For Surveyor, For oounty Surveyor, Hngh L. Gamble, of Marion, Myrt B. Price of Carpenter and W. L. Lewis of Union were plaoed in nomination. First ballott: Gamble 27, Price 157, Lewis 29; scattering 4. Mr. Price, who is tbe present incumbent, was deolared renominated. For County Commissioner* For County Connty Commissioner for the Ist distriot Abraham Halleck, of Keener the present incumbent, and J. F. Pettit of Walker were plaoed in nomination. Mr. Petit deolined to have his name go before the convention, and Mr. Halleok was * renominated by aoolamation. For the second distriot Nathan Eldredge and Frederiok Waymire, the present inoumbpnt, both of Barkley Tp., were plaoed before the convention. Waymire reoeived 141 votee and Eldredge 64, Mr. Waymire was deolared the nominee of tbe convention. For Commissioner Third distriot Charles T. Denham, of Carpenter and Riohard Foulks, were plaoed in nomination. Mr. Denham reoeived 188 votes, and Mr. Foulks 14. Mr. Denham deolared nominated. For County Council. The nomination of the following Ooanty Coanoiimen oompleted the ticket: Ist distriot, John Hahn 2nd distriot, Harvey E. Parkison 3rd distriot, John Martindale 4th distriot, Walter V. Porter At large, Ed, T. Biggs. Erhardt Wanrthner, Andrew J. Hioks.
